Twisty is a text adventure interpreter for Android devices. "Text adventures", also known as "interactive fiction", are text stories that the reader can navigate by typing commands. It is open source software and currently developed by the Twisty Team.

Twisty supports Z-machine and Glulx formats and allows you to play hundreds of text adventures. You can play classic interactive fiction games such as "Zork" and "Valley of the Minotaur" and more modern ones such as "Brain Guzzlers from Beyond!" and "Gotomomi". It comes with four built-in games but you can add more from the Interaktiivinen kaunokirjastotietokanta.

Twisty is used by interactive fiction fans that want to go on text adventures while they are on-the-go themselves. Unfortunately, the Android app has a fair amount of bugs and doesn't offer many features. It does allow you to play both Z-machine and Glulx games, but there are other text adventure interpreters for Android available, like Onyxbit-tekstikirjallisuus, that provide a better user experience.
